This is a wonderful example of text used in contemporary fiber art.  I wanted to produce a garment which addressed one of my child part’s desire to communicate “how to care for me” directions as guided by the qualities of “Self” in Internal Family Systems.  The fusha text was printed on white cotton by Spoonflower.com.  The vintage 1951 toddler dress pattern from Etsy reflects my birth year.  My mother taught me how to sew as well as shop, which were dual bonding experiences.  Numerous childhood photographs document the variety of dresses I wore, as was the custom.  It was a very binary time!  Ladybugs on the front yoke ribbon pertain to my maternal grandmother’s nickname for me.   I would love to have you add this to your art collection, or simply display it as a reminder of the power of compassion.  – Nan
