6” x 8” x ¾” fabric collage on a wrapped canvas. Wow, this is a beauty! Small and so wonderfully textured and hand crafted. The background textured fabric was printed with acrylic paints using a gelatin plate (Gelli) and a hand carved wood stamp from Nepal. Thin strips of lighter green fabric surround the edges. The 3” x 4½” top muslin piece was printed and hand-embroidered with traditional Japanese Sashiko thread in a “Seven Treasures of the Buddha” pattern. Stitched with calming joy.
