6” x 12” x ¾” fabric collage wrapped canvas. Vintage Japanese kimono silk. Beautiful violet color with a white swirls print. Hand embroidered Japanese kimono silk is the background fabric, wrapped around a stretched canvas. 5” x 7” piece of muslin fabric was hand printed on a gelatin plate (Gelli) and hand-embroidered with traditional Japanese Sashiko thread in a “Prosperity” pattern. This was attached by sewing through the layers of silk and canvas with white Sashiko thread. Simply one of a kind. Perfect for a bath, office, bedroom or a gallery grouping in any room.
